I was expecting it to be ‘more dramatic, less realistic’ than it actually is. I think a lot on here give it a thumbs down the first two weeks, I haven’t read other reviews in this thread yet....

I think they are doing a good job of showing some farming, and family stories.

To be honest I think it might be kinda dull for ‘the masses’ but I think they are doing good and I enjoy the picture of rural life they are portraying.

Following me around for a day would be really dull. They need some interest, some happenings, to make a show interesting enough to watch. They don’t need to get every tiny detail exactly perfect to the most dull detail.

They need to tell a story, and they picked some farm situations that are close enough to real, and some bits of conflict or action, to make it worth investing time to watch.

I think they are doing good, I hope it continues.

I hope they don’t follow the path Ice Road Truckers took, which was to hype up and fake everything all hour long. On the other hand, if they find reasonable ways to add some interest while remaining true to farming, that is a good deal.

I was expecting a train wreck, and got something I can at least identify with.
