I do have another building (house) that is separate from the farm office, the network is currently connected between the two buildings so I could have something in each building to help safeguard things in the event of fire/vandalism/lightning
For backup purposes it needs to be something that is automated other wise I can have intentions of doing it once a day, month, etc. but realistically won't happen as often as it should
This is what I have. My main NAS is in the shop. It is a QNAP which has a bunch of apps, features, and etc. One feature is auto backup. It them backs up to a basic cheap NAS in my house.
Your other option for off site backup is most NAS today have some kind of cloud backup option so that you can backup to a paid cloud service option lik dropbox or Google cloud.
