| We have a Speed Queen and LOVE it! When our old Maytag finally quit a few years ago we replaced it with a Whirlpool. We didn't know that washers had changed so much. The Whirlpool was a piece of junk and only lasted a couple years . We hated it. It took forever to wash and you also could not set the water level. It was "auto load sensing" , which was supposed to save water, but usually used more. I spent $800 on a Speed Queen and it was worth the money. This thing should last many, many years. Ours has no electronics and a mechanical timer-- sadly they no longer make this model any more. | |
