Central California | I run a 900T on a 190hp tractor. It'll stall starting a 20k load. I'd knock off a bunch of the knives, I only run 5 on the screws. Since the hay is already cut you only need a few knives.
I would think if you mix at 800 pto rpms then put about 10-15% water in and don't mix while you're driving it should be mix well.
Supreme makes a hay ring for the 900, no idea if would help cut hay without it jumping out.
How worn are your screws? When they get to far down they quit mixing.
I'll add we ran the 900T on a tired 150hp tractor and it got the job done, but it was never happy.
