Think they could live on $15-20/ hr? Remember, there's tax withholding. $50k a year isn't going to buy much and raise a family. Won't buy a new pickup and a SUV for the wife. Lots of you guys are out of touch with reality!
I've asked this question 3 or 4 times when wages come up on NAT without getting an answer. So, I'll ask you. How much should a smaller dairy farm (100 cows or less) be paying an employee? I'm talking about someone who can do chores by themselves unsupervised, able to operate basic machinery such as a skid steer, cut hay, rake, ted, merge, etc.
Basically someone who won't tear stuff up and doesn't think some jobs are beneath them. |
