| I used QuickBooks for many years. Until I got tired of their outrageous charges for payroll tax tables, and now... they are even worse.
PCMars is delightfully simple or as sophisticated as you want it to be, and... it is MADE FOR FARMERS. For payroll, you just plug in whatever your accountant tells you it should be. And I believe starting sometime this year, the program will be available to your accountant for a nominal fee per company opened. ( I spoke with the creator of PCMars, but don't want to get ahead of their announcement. )
I know this made my accountant happy because he has several farm clients that use it but is not willing to pay the full purchase price. The interface is not as polished as QuickBooks, but the program is vastly superior to what QuickBooks can offer a farmer.
