There is life after dairy.  We quit in '04 .  Still have about 50 cows that are starting to calve, then raise them as feeders.  Don't miss the dairy one bit now.  Took some getting used to an easier schedule, and a couple of us had to find different jobs for a while, but we're all back to farming again now after expanding acres.  It's nice to be able to take off on a Saturday or Sunday with the family and not have to worry about being around to milk.  A little busy now with calving, and feeding in the morning, but it's all over about planting time.  You won't miss it after a few months.
