Western ND | The ones I have been around, S/N LEE, were twin turbo emission engines in 10wheelers with gravel bodies. Had a hard time keeping turbos in them and numerous issues with the regen system. Probably be a lot more reliable with a single turbo and deleted. Similar issues with SDP C-15s, I wasn't a truck mechanic, but worked on the heavy equipment side of things but I know of a few trucks that had 5+ turbos replaced in just a few years. I dont remember if it was the low or high pressure one that went. The C-13s were traded for Detroits and Cummins, a few of the C-15s were single turboed and deleted. | |
