South/central Alberta | I have had svt a number of times. Starts with out any recognizable triggers. The first time the EMT administered the adinosine and packed me off to the hospital. I have experienced maybe a dozen occurrences in the next six years.
Many doctors and nurses have said when a attack occurs, blow!! Take a water, pop bottle and BLOW just as hard as you can. This has stopped all of mine until 6 weeks ago, I was in town getting ready to curl, when it hit me. I drove myself 3 blocks to emergency for a shot of adinosine.
My Dr says I should see a Cardiologist and am awaiting that appointment.
One of Drs in emergency says it should be looked into further as it could lead to a heart attack, and recommended the ablation.
Just remember if one experience this, BLOW as hard as you can! | |
