Northern Ohio | I have done this on small acreage to consolidate fields. 182 first year, 208 second, better weather the second year. No insect trouble, but we rarely do. Many years of pasture previous, very lively soil, low on P and K so extra hog manure was not an issue, weeds near zero. Twenty plus years of organic with four+ year rotation so certifier had no problem. Still would not advice it in most circumstances.
