As cheap as mobile 1 and penzoil, castrol etc is. It may not be royal purple or something, but still brand name synthetics, there's always one on sale at canadian tire from week to week.
I will say I do plenty of oil changes. I may mix them, but I do changes ahead of notifications if nothing else.
