Mid Michigan
You will be fine. Motor oil is motor oil. Add the synthetic and not think a thing about it. If you want to use a mixture of 10 different brands and types of oils and mix it into one big brew and dump it in there you wouldn't ever know the difference in a lifetime. Good god, I've mixed just about every kind of motor oil there is from synthetic to non synthetic to straight weight to 0 weight to 50 weight and every thing in between on all the vehicles we have here and they all run fine and have forever. Not an oil related failure in anything I've ever done it to. Right now I'm using Walmart Super Tech Full synthetic in my truck and when it gets low I'm adding the cheapest 2.99 a quart 10-30 regular oil from the grocery store when it gets low.
