Yes, I believe all oils are required to be compatible with other engine oils they are mixed with. You will reduce the benefits of the synthetic oil by adding conventional, but that doesn't apply in your situation. One thing to be aware of with synthetic oil is that it will tend to leak more if you have some leaks already because the oil has better viscosity stability which causes it to be thinner at lower temperatures. If I were you I would add it and not look back.
