Pickup trucks are designed to be grocery getters, not work vehicles. A 4 1/2 foot bed is practically useless on a truck. They made them taller so the big tires crowd could mount bigger tires without having to put on a lift kit. The step in the end of the bumper is practically useless, it only lowers the point you have to raise your leg by about 6" if you need to get in with the tailgate down. A step under the bumper is needed for that.
I've had one with the bumper corner step for 7 months, it is useless, I have not used that step once, other than just trying it out a couple times. Everybody has a opinion, but I don't see anywhere near $7000's worth of tailgate on the 6 way, but I'm sure they will sell some on those high end pickups.
