North Central Kansas
The Grand Canyon trip is one of our favorites. On the way, there is the painted desert and
petrified forest. Both interesting. Beautiful scenery. We stayed at a Best Western premier
at Tusayan which is close to the south rim. Very nice and you just walk out to the street and
catch a shuttle out to the Canyon. From there, they have multiple shuttles that run along
the rim. Go at your own speed. Don't know your time limits, but Sante Fe and Taos are
interesting and the Sadona area is beautiful. Other national parks like Zion are north of
there. Have fun. You won't regret going to the Canyon.
