I looked quick and didn't see what the 'normal' opening date is for Going-to-the-Sun road, but in 2018 it didn't open until Jun 23.

Month of May will be early for a lot of the park.

The one I like to watch is (Beartooth Pass, between Yellowstone and Red Lodge).
The last few years the post youTubes of the clearing activity.
Target date to have it open is always late may -- Memorial Day weekend.

All depends on what you want to do at Glacier.

We been through a couple times, but haven't slept there. Fall is also a chance to miss school kids.

West side of park along Going to Sun is a huge area that experienced forest fire a couple years ago.
