I think I might drink 3 gallons per month.   I like milk. I used to drink more. However, I think it has a detrimental effect on my weight.  :)     I do eat my cheese daily, and I have yogart daily, so I think I do my share to support dairy farmers.  :)

When I buy a gallon of milk, I sometimes don't get it all used up before it goes bad.  Last fall, I compared price of 1-gallon size versus 1/2 gallon size.  I am paying around $3.78 for 1-gallon size; I think 1/2 gallon size runs about $2.50-2.80 (I think).  I decided that even if I buy 1-gallon size and don't drink it all before it goes bad, I am further ahead than if I have to constantly stop and get 1/2-gallon size.  So, in essence, I am buying 3 quarts, and getting that last quart for free.  And this helps the dairy industry move more product. I think more people should look at it this way.   :)
