S Illinois | Located primarily in the SE corner(crops in general were not as strong as 2017 but still aph or better), but would say state as whole could be that good. Large swath of record yields especially in that more volatile yield area where the land flattens but doesn’t yet become black. Truely a year where it wasn’t just the prime dirt areas of IL pulling the average up, but rather all of IL pulling their weight. That complaining about May-early June dryness led to amazing stand establishment.
An yes there will be vocal poor pockets where it wasn’t good but many large “best ever” areas. | |
