Subject: Re: IA DOT RTN and Trimble Receivers (CMR/RTCM Question)

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Yeah, I just happened to try to connect during that outage as well. Thought I had something configured wrong on my end. Tried it later and it worked fine.

The outage and the e-mail tells me a couple things. They had some kind of failure that I presume they will now resolve so it doesn't happen again, and when it did fail, they knew about it, and got it fixed relatively quickly. Maybe somebody just unplugged the wrong cable.

Based on the source table, the CMR and CMR+ streams are single base station only. I did some reading of user guides today, and it looks like the Trimble 252, 262, and EzGuide 500 all require the CMR format for RTK corrections. Edit: I think they can use CMR+ too, but the user guide doesn't mention it.

I'll send them an e-mail to ask if a CMR network stream can be added.
