Cedar Rapids, Iowa | I connected in to the IA DOT RTN today to look things over, and something caught my attention. Here is the source table:
STR;RTCM3_MAX;RTCM3_MAX;RTCM 3;;2;GPS & GLONASS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;1;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
STR;RTCM3_IMAX;RTCM3_IMAX;RTCM 3;;2;GPS & GLONASS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;1;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
STR;RTCM3_NEAR;RTCM3_NEAR;RTCM 3;;2;GPS & GLONASS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;0;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
STR;RTCM2_IMAX;RTCM2_IMAX;RTCM 2;;2;GPS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;1;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
STR;RTCM2_NEAR;RTCM2_NEAR;RTCM 2;;2;GPS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;0;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
STR;CMR_NEAR;CMR_NEAR;CMR;;2;GPS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;0;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
STR;CMRP_NEAR;CMRP_NEAR;CMR+;;2;GPS;Iowa RTK Network;;30.27;-97.79;1;0;Leica GNSS Spider;none;B;N;9600;
I realize it looks a little cryptic. I recall that the 252 (and maybe the EzGuide 500) will not accept RTK corrections in RTCM format. The data has to be in a CMR format. Is this correct? Will they also accept data in the CMR Plus format?
If they are limited to CMR/CMR Plus only, then we have a problem. The CMR and CMRP streams are single base station only streams. Meaning that they aren't network calculated corrections. You would be connected to the base station you are nearest to.
If that is correct, then I'll contact the guys at the DOT to see if they can get Leica to add a Network based (iMAX) CMR correction to the list. | |
