Subject: RE: Another Raven question...Ted or?? please help

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Is it possible to swap the flow cables so that Product 1 & Product 2 are temporarily reversed? I would be curious to see if the problem then moves to channel 1 and channel 2 seems correct.

There are recommended RPM ranges where these sensors will work well. Possibly you are out of the range for the senor you are using. I don't know if you are running the sensor directly off of the shaft or through some jack shaft. We have on occasion needed to put the sensor on another shaft so that it operates in the range specified by the sensor.

I have seen situations where the speed seemed correct and then as the shaft speeded up the observed speed seemed to decrease. This was because the information turned into a "blur" so to speak and many of the pulses were being missed.

Another thought lies with the fact that the Raven flow cable only supplies +5v for the sensor. The DJ sensors generally used 12V for their source. If you are using the Raven +5V source for the sensor this might be part of the problem.
