I'll probably sound like a broken record on this before long.
I don't care what name is on the washer. The only thing that matters in wash quality is agitator style. It has to be a two piece agitator with a ratcheting screw top. If you watch one of these wash, you'll understand why. Most whirlpools and many ge's had these. You're old whirlpool probably did.
