Sorry for the bad news. Might have been better to withhold it at this point. Not trying to rub salt in a wound but in a way I feel like they have been portrayed in such a positive light on here for so many years it may be hard to get that turned around (as in your case) unless every time they are brought up on here someone explains the issue.
To be honest, if I were in your shoes I would sell it while it's newish and try to find something commercial grade that will pass to your children when you die, lol.
My wife and I have probably a 2015 Speed Queen (stacking side load no less due to space requirements) and it has treated us great so far. I was disappointed to hear about the changes they made.
