Subject: RE: How much longer will ethanol last?

Custer County, Nebraska
The future is electric vehicles however batteries are not. When it comes to energy storage there is no manufacturing process that will improve energy density... that process is pure basic science where chemical engineers and physicists play. The closest solid state solution will be capacitors but there are some very dangerous issues involved there and that basically leaves fuel cell technology. However where is the hydrogen distribution system? Furthermore if you electrolyze it from water, it will be at an energy loss. That leaves us stripping out hydrogen from current fuel sources by means of a catalyst. Ethanol has a VERY promising future being the fuel of choice for fuel cell technology.
