Just because the wheat isn't up yet doesn't mean you can't make a crop yet. We had winter wheat that didn't germinate until March because of drought the previous fall. You just need to get the temp to dip enough to get the seed to vernalize. Started raining and we had 85 bu wheat that year. Not the way I like to see things played out, but it did happen.
