I put a 300 watt stick on pan heater on our 560 diesel. That, along with 2 group 31 batteries to replace the 2 eight year old 6 volt batts, and starting problems disappeared on the cold blooded thing. The one I bought was a Wolverine brand, they have a decent website to give sizing tips. I run this along with a coolant block heater that is of unknown wattage. I did spend a fair amount of time in a heated shop cleaning up the bottom of oil pan to get a good stick and pan to heater contact. If I had just slapped it on in the cold, may have had less luck. This is our truck auger tractor, I leave both plugged in 24/7 when loading trucks. Nothing worse than a truck showing up at -20 and you have to say let me go get the charger.
