I have used those magnetic heaters in the past, even got the bigger 500w ones.
They worked ok for me if the tractor was in the shed and doors shut tight. Outside or open front shed and the slightest breeze and they didn't work so good. Hardly at all really. Not near as good as a block heater, anyway.
Crankcase oil heater.
