In a van, down by the river. | I know this isn't an answer to what you asked, but your question reminds me of an article I read a long time ago in Top Producer (or one of those rags) that advocated heavily diversifying into apartment buildings in urban areas, or other non-ag ventures to "offset" the sagging farm economics. I'm thinking that was around 2006ish... Oh what a difference a year or two can make. Until I'm in decline, I'm either aiming capital toward an investment to help me grow my operation, or I'm holding fire and keeping powder dry. I want to be positioned for the next 1995, 2008, 2010, etc... |
