Subject: RE: What to do now??

I'm interested in this situation. We knocked down a line over a state road that went from the transformer on one side of the road to a house on the other side of the road with our field cultivator. After some back and forth we wound up paying for it and we do a lot of business with that power company. We had been through there numerous times with that field cultivator with no incident but they had replaced the pole and didn't tighten the cable enough so we hit it. Supposedly the height at time of replacement had been recorded and of course it is now high enough. I argued that our field cultivator can only be so tall but the power company said maybe it was taller this time which is absurd. I believe our field cultivator is 17' tall fully raised in transport. We know where the problem lines are and this wasn't one of them. As in your situation, they clearly didn't have the wire high enough no matter how much measuring they do. We're in north central Indiana.
