Makes a great thick and rich potato soup. Takes a lot of stirring and we precook the potatos to help get them cooked all the way through without scorching the milk.

> 12 slices bacon
> 2/3 c margarine
> 2/3 c all purpose flour
> 7 c milk
> 4 large potatoes,peeled,cubed
> 1 1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
> 1 c sour cream
> 1 tsp salt
> 1 tsp ground pepper
