Hire it done!
A few years ago I wanted to clean a fence row and decided to rent a machine. I consider myself skilled with a small excavator ( use one weekly at my day job during the summer). I needed a big machine to push out trees so I figured it would be cheaper to rent one. I got 40 hours for a weeks rental and I put that on in three days and was only half done with my project. Day 4 a tree fell awkwardly and branches hit the cab. I changed my pants and looked at the damage and knew it wasn't good. I had a $1,000 deductible for insurance on the machine but it was much more than that in damage. So two weeks rental + insurance ended up costing me much more than I had planned for on the project plus I felt like I could have used my time to do something else instead of get an education with an excavator.

Leave it to the guys that do it for a living. It's much safer, probably less expensive, and you could be using your time elsewhere.
