Subject: RE: 2x2x2 opinions

Considering the same thing on our farm. Currently have our coop custom apply NPK w/strip-till. Have in-furrow on planter applying 4-5 gallon of a 50/50 mix of 6-24-6 and 10-34-0. Then sidedressing remaining N with some ATS.

Contemplating adding a 2x2 or 2x2x2 system onto the planter to go with in-furrow. Putting some nitrogen, phosphorus, and perhaps sulfur closer to the plant for availability in its early stages. I'm sure there are guys doing the same thing. Any opinions on if we'll see a yield boost to validate the cost?

We have a whole spectrum of soils, I'm thinking this would help yield in the more marginal areas.
