Fayette Co, Iowa | We have never done comparison. .. but we have marginal soils here also. And I believe splitting the nitrogen around or at planting and then again at v3 to v4 is a great way to add bushels if all the stars align.. jmo... we use to blow nitrogen on top. ( sun, wind and to many other variables turned us away from leaving it on top of soil. Not much fall applied nitrogen anymore around here.. right or wrong. | |
