Not so with the Chevy Volt. I never stop to plug in. 140,000 miles on it. Full electric drive with a generator in it. Average 66 mpg since new. Bought a used 2nd Volt with 32,000 miles on it for 14,000. 115 mpg since new. Can't go wrong with this car
