MN | Our dog started running with the neighbors dog after he was fixed, (by the vet) have 7 acres, some of it trees that I wanted him to be able to run in so a fence didn't seem like the best option, finally got a long range training collar, I think it reached 3/4 mile. When he would show up at various neighbors they would call and I would head over to get him. On my way up the driveway I would hit the shock button a few times so he didn't know it was me,. He'd jump right in the car and I wouldn't shock him once he was in. He caught on real quick and has been really good now. It also has a call feature where it just beeps, trained him that means to come and he comes running when it goes off. Hardly ever even have to put it on him anymore. The shock level is variable as well. | |
