Subject: Welding stainless steel

Statesville, NC
I'm doing some repair on a KBH fertilizer trailer. The hopper body is stainless, fairly thin, not sure exactly what gauge. I have a Miller 252 wire welder and some .035 stainless wire. I have 75/25 argon gas I use for regular steel. Do I need a different gas for stainless? I also have a neighbor that has a smaller welder setup for .023 wire. What would work best?
