I know, that is a concern. I have the weights chained to the cargo hooks in the back of the bed, but still a little uneasy about whether they would hold in an accident...
The tailgate on my truck is bowed out a little, & I suspect it happened when I had the weights loose in there, & one of my sons drove the truck...a little acceleration test, maybe?
