I’m not going to suggest what to use for weight but just a safety tip suggestion. I have a nephew who is a police officer for a larger city and part of his job is to investigate all vehicle accidents on his shift. He showed me some pictures a few years ago of pickups and cars that had items not secured properly especially in pickup beds that were involved in accidents. It’s unbelievable how much damage items can do to the cab of a pickup flying forward when it comes to a sudden stop as well as in a car. It made me a firm believer to have items securely anchored down when hauling items. And yes he said some of the accidents he has investigated did result in fatalities as a result of items flying forward and hitting the victims upfront.

It’s too bad they don’t do safety videos on TV of what objects flying forward in accidents can do to victims it’d be an eye opener, it made an impression on me.
