Subject: RE: Ai beef cows?

We have used AI in our program for 50 years and have used several programs and actually were a test herd for Lutalyse many years ago.I do all my own AI and actually have never had much over 75% conception and try to do everything right. There was a sale last Sat where 600 were all AI no cleanup bull.THe only way to get them all to calve in short time especially if you are spread out now is sell the late ones. Some cows that wont settle AI will breed everytime with a bull.We still run bulls and take them out to keep a 60 day calving period. 5% open is about average in my experience.
