Sounds like things are going as well as they can medically. If you haven't already, you may want to consider a second opinion just to make sure everything is on track. It's been years, but a friend of mine's husband did a surgical rotation up at Sloan Kettering. She said it was the go-to cancer treatment center. Cutting edge.
