Nusbaum Farms LLC Bellfountain, OR | I replaced a bearing on a combine one morning, then the combine ran the whole day. The next morning I blew the combine off and after I was done I had something in my eye that I couldn't flush out. Did the same as you, went to Immediate Care and they couldn't get it out, referred me to an opthamologist. He extracted a 1/4" long metal sliver. It had to be from the failed bearing the day before. FWIW, I was wearing safety goggles when I replaced the bearing but just sunglasses when I was blowing. I really should use the goggles that seal around the eyes when blowing but they are so bad to fog up that I usually don't.
