The longer the fence, the better if you have good corner and brace posts. The short runs of barbed wire slack way easier. Also need to stretch the wires on the warmest day possible. Warm weather slacks up the wire. I double wrap the wires on the corner post. On my second wrap, I try to bring both wires to the center of the post, so the wire isn't trying to twist the corner post.
I’ll second this. Short stretches (100 yds or less) are harder to keep tight. |
