Beresford, SD | Going to fence a couple 1/4's next summer. I have about 40 10' cut telephone poles.(5 foot in ground)....good old ones that are full of creosote yet. I was going to set a big one on the corner then two more in each direction 10 feet apart, then attach a 20' continuous panel in each direction. Wire will be 3 hots....double braid 12 1/2 gauge with ratchet tighteners on one end of run. Steel posts every 20 feet. These will be used to contain cows, pairs, light feeders that have been turned out. Corners always have pressure from stock, I think it will be stout and last a long time. | |
