| johnwayne360 - 1/7/2019 13:59 all the while beating maybe 1 other top 20 team. they would get left out. the schedule is just too weak. they year they went almost undefeated..their division didnt include michigan, ohio state, or wisconsin. beat two of those three and maybe they have a chance. but they will never play 2 of the three in any given year.
If Iowa had won the Big Ten Championship game in 2015 they would have been in the Playoffs. That is a fact. That was a "play in" game. The winner was going to the Playoffs and the loser got the consolation prize of going to the Rose Bowl.
I don't care how "bad" the Big Ten West is according to the pundits. If any team in the Big Ten goes undefeated (13-0) they will be in the Playoffs unless there is at least 4 other undefeated teams from Power 5 conferences.
