Illinois | We have 130 acres of corn that is nearly flat on the ground. Attempts to harvest today were close to futile. There just isn't enough standing stalks to keep things flowing. We are running a Kelderman reel on a 2208 head.
The corn is blown over with little root left attached to the soil. The stalk integrity is pretty good. It's muddy right now.
I am willing to spend some money if there is better equipment to get this done. The yield is good and worth trying. Trying today showed leaving about 80 bushels per acre behind.
Give me some advice based on what you've successfully tried. What about a flex platform? | |
