Subject: RE: Working on "the end"

Raised hogs for 27 years, From age 14 to 41 I'm am now 49. 100 sows farrow to finish. Went from farrowing in open pens to a farrowing house. Finishing on dirt to confinement. We didn't mind the work when we at least made a little money. A lot of years having hogs around was the secret to our success. Felt guilty for a little while after they were gone but after a month or so the crew all noticed we were physically feeling better. The daily beating our body's were taking were more than we realized. Still have a cow calf operation so still go to work every day 365.
