east central iowa | I used a 13 North Star head this year. Most all my corn blew down aug 28. The head is pretty good but I had problems with corn bunching up at the front of the deck plates. I had to run stripper plates wider than normal to help with plugging. The stripper plates look to be at least 12” in front on the snapping rolls. Is this a common problems or just due to down corn? So I’m saying it plugged up before the snapping rolls. Tia | |
