central - east central Minnesota - | jd-tom - 12/12/2018 08:26 This will be a cold storage shed. On a side note: Our Twp just finished a 60x80 cold storage building (I wanted a frost footing/wall too, as the Twp will be there for 100's of years, it's not going out of business), but it was just too costly. Regular 4ply 6 inch column's on 8ft centers. Commercial code on wall and roof perlin's (24in centers between the posts, bookshelf is the term) and commercial rated truss with the doors end wall plywood with steel over it, insulation down 2ft and out 4ft around the perimeter - $67,000. That included 2 - 18wx14h heavy duty fully insulated doors w/openers and one walk door and 2 windows mounted up high. Local lumber yard / pole builder did all work - we had pad ready for them to build. Maybe consider getting the columns on hand and then treating them with foundation coating for below ground ?
