I’ve ran both for the most part. Had 1688 and 9600 and 9650 conventional. Just put 800 acres through a 9600 as a second machine and had two repairs. One was the 24 year old alternator and second was the electrical piece on the header clutch. CRS on the proper name. Better on the green one is axles, final drives, cab, unload auger is a button, better reverser and feeder house. Grain tank might be bigger on the 1688 and service might be easier. If I was going to cut beans I would never let another junk 1020 on this farm. Nods go to the 9510 with a 925 head. Better float and header control all day.
