Ran both, like both but notice differences

Beans- Deere 925 better than 1020. Chopper on Deere standard, making finer residue. 1688 spread residue more even with 25 ft head

Corn- 1688 has huge advantage in capacity. Will clean cob with ease in wet corn or soft cobs. Liked 1063 a lot better than 643.

Cab- I’m tall, 1688 I had to have seat full of air to keep tail bone from hurting. This made me sit high enough I had to dunk to see unloading auger and to look a long way down field. That gave Deere the edge.

End of day, condition of machine would mean more to me than unloading lever vs push button unload. Working full time you need it to be reliable

2/3 corn and shell some wet 1688
2/3 beans, 9600 when u got a day off and suns shining you want to get done all u can.
